We seem to be on an Eagle Force Returns kick as of late! Today, a new update was shared via the Eagle Force Returns Kickstarter Campaign Page. In the update, we get to feast our eyes on new colored packaging art, including Santini and Modern Kayo. Also included in the update are a pair of color guides, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the pantones and tampos used for the Eagle Force Bulldog Patrol and Modern Cat.

As if that wasn’t enough, the update also shares word on the Eagle Force Strikes Trading Card Kickstarter Campaign that we posted up yesterday. We’re happy to announce that as of the time of this post, the trading card campaign is FUNDED and already moving on to it’s first stretch goal! The trading card set will bring us a title card and a teaser for the upcoming Eagle Force division that fights a different type of monster–real ones–in Monster Force! Clues for Monster Force are also planted within the Eagle Force Strikes! card set!

In case you weren’t aware, there’s quite a bit of awesome new product coming our way from the world of Eagle Force Returns. Not only are we going to see the EF assortment next year, but there’s also Monster Force and the newly announced Heroes vs Villains line! his line will launch alongside “Eagle Force: Monster Force” in 2018. The “Eagle Force: Heroes vs Villains” line is less character/backstory based and more about filling out your Eagle Force collection with more generic type heroes and villains.

To kick off this new line, we’re proud to bring you an exclusive view of the Masked Saboteur figure from the HvV line! Needless to say, I can see many of us jumping on this figure once it’s available. Not only is the Masked Saboteur image available, but Fresh Monkey also revealed their Secret Service Agent that will also be available in this new line! We’ve mirrored the image here for your viewing pleasure.

We know that you probably have a ton of questions regarding this awesome new line, so no worries, we’ve got you covered! Fresh Monkey Fiction has been hitting us left and right with reveals lately and today is no different! Today on the Eagle Force Returns Facebook Page, the first character reveal from Monster Force was posted – The Blackwatch Agent!

Part of the Delta Red Secret Service, this “Vampire in a suit” looks absolutely killer and will be a welcome part of many a collection. Wow, that’s already 3 character reveals this weekend – two from Heroes vs Villains and now from Monster Force! Will there be any more this weekend? Stay tuned to find out!

The Eagle Force Strikes Kickstarter Campaign from our friends at The Drawn Word and Fresh Monkey Fiction is in it’s final week and has long since passed it’s initial funding goal! Thanks to supporters like you, those that have pledged can now expect to receive the following stretch goals –

Last Friday, HissTank.com forum members were invited by our friends at Fresh Monkey Fiction to take part in a Question and Answer session based on their new upcoming lined, Eagle Force: Heroes vs. Villains. The HvV line will be a part of the overarching universe that FMF is creating, alongside Eagle Force Returns & Eagle Force: Monster Force.

The time is finally here, everyone! Late last November, we brought you word of an upcoming Kickstarter Campaign for an exclusive Larry Hama action figure from Fresh Monkey Fiction and Remco.

We’re pleased to announce that the Larry Hama A Real American Creator Kickstarter Campaign is now live! Larry Hama has been many things: a storyteller, illustrator, rock musician, storyboard artist, actor, and the creative force behind the 1980’s leading action figure line.

One thing that Larry, one of our creative heroes, has never been–

Is an action figure.

Fresh Monkey Fiction is going to change that with the limited edition Larry Hama action figure!

Standing at 4” high, the Larry Hama figure features an original Hama head sculpt by Nick Whitmore and original art card by Adam Riches. This figure is perfectly suited for adventures at a convention, on a stage, or even tackling the might of a deadline.

With a goal of only $6,000 to produce this figure, we’re confident more Larry fans like us will pitch in for the most fitting tribute Fresh Monkey Fiction and Remco could think of. This will give us a chance to honor the man who made action figures more than just articulated plastic, and have him personally hang out with our collections, old and new. In order to do so, you’ll have to contribute at one of the following levels –

• $25 USD – This level will get you your own Larry Hama figure (Add $15 for International)
• $41 USD – At this level, not only will you get the Larry Hama action figure, but you’ll also get a Metal Trading card of Larry and a Mystery Accessory only available through the Kickstarter Campaign! (Add $14 for International)
• $85 USD – At the top tier, you’ll get the Larry Hama action figure and Larry’s signature on your Metal Card! (Add $15 for International)

You can get additional Larry figures for $22 USD/$25 INTL each (They can only be added in at this price to existing pledges). Each figure comes carded on a bubble and is without a doubt a MUST HAVE for any collection!

It goes without saying that the Larry Hama A Real American Creator Kickstarter Campaign from Fresh Monkey Fiction and Remco has become an instant hit with fans, as the campaign funded in mere hours. The campaign is now at $19,794, blowing it’s funding level out of $6,000 right out of the water 3 times over. Because of the overwhelming show of support, Fresh Monkey has decided to add a Stretch Goal to the campaign!

Over the weekend, the Eagle Force Returns Facebook Page treated us to a new character reveal. This time, we got to check out Agent Grimm! This isn’t the only Agent Grimm figure, either –  a maskless version, in fatigues, will be available for Eagle Force as part of Wave 2. But trust me you’ll want both. Last night, Fresh Monkey Fiction treated contributors to a new update on the  Larry Hama A Real American Creator Kickstarter Campaign update page. The update shows us the concept art created for Larry’s card art. In case you weren’t aware, the card art was created by none other than Adam Riches! Here’s the scoop from the update –

Hey everyone! I thought I’d share some of the concept art from Adam Riches for the packaging. We went through a couple poses, but I think we landed on one that really captured Larry. We’re super close to unlocking our final stretch goal…let’s try to get the word out there so we can make it happen.

HISTORICAL DOCUMENTATION: With Thousands of their warriors falling to Stheno’s curse, Penthesilea and the Elite Amazon corps undertook a perilous mission. Raiding the Gorgon camp, they stole Stheno’s staff and used it to reverse the conversion spell on their former comrades. Most of the cursed died in the process; the handful who survived became deformed hybrid creatures. Despised by both human and Gorgon alike, these warriors retained their loyalty to the Gorgon Sisters and acted as infiltrators and spies, hoping that they would be accepted by the horde once again. Their ability to pass as human allowed them to gain access to places regular Gorgons could not.

TEMPORAL LOG: Atelis Warriors were adaptable, strong and surprisingly intelligent. Some who survived went their separate ways, living on their own in remote areas. It is possible that the stereotypical image of witches with distorted features and special powers has its basis in the tales of the Atelis Warriors.

Although not a Hasbro G.I.Joe Product, the V-22 Osprey (full name: Soldier Force IV Mega V-22 Transport Plane Playset) from Chap Mei has been a grail of sorts for many 1:18th scale collectors. It’s quite the impressive piece, coming it at around the same size of the large Star Wars Imperial Shuttle made by Kenner many years ago. JoMi Toys did a great pictorial review of the piece, so check it out if you’re curious as to what this beast of a toy looks like out of package.

HissTank.com forum member NIKOLAI has started an online petition to bring back the V-22 Osprey. For many of us, that would mean bringing it stateside, period, as there hasn’t been a confirmed sighting of this particular piece in the U.S. (well, at least on our sightings boards, anyway). If the petition reaches its target, it will then be submitted to Chap Mei for consideration.

There seems to be so many awesome new characters coming our way from the Eagle Force Monster Force Line. Today via the Eagle Force Returns Facebook Page, we received word that Monster Force: Delta Red gets called into action!  The exciting new piece of artwork shows 3 Delta Red Commandos and as you can see, they’re vampires!

I’m always hesitant to show images like this cause they are very early and extremely rough around the edges, but as this is a Kickstarter and we’ve come together as a community to bring Eagle Force back to action I wanted to share them.”
