What a way to wrap Sunday! A huge Eagle Force Returns Kickstarter Update has been posted and it’s chock full of awesome!
First off, the fate of Sgt. Bulldog’s faithful pet – The votes have been tallied and Sgt. Bulldog’s pet has a name. It was a close race, but “Churchill” won with the most popular vote! Fresh Monkey thinks this is a fitting name for our Sgt’s best friend. Thanks for voting, everyone!
Next up, a piece that we brought you on Friday – Eagle Force Pulp – The Cat: Eight Lives Left from The Drawn Word, the same fine folks who brought you the amazing Eagle Force Strikes Trading card set, have just launched their campaign and it’s already funded! Make sure to get in on the campaign if you haven’t already! If the campaign reaches the $1,300 stretch goal, we’ll be treated to a reveal of the R.I.O.T. DIREKTOR, the original R.I.O.T. Leader!
Finally, a new Eagle Force character reveal! The team at FMF have heard from a few of you that there was some disappointment around the fact that they’re moving on to 2 companion lines and not focusing on the core Eagle Force Team. Extreme Sets have been banging out cardboard based Dioramas for a while now, starting with Wrestling themed ones and more recently moving into the Multiverse line that focuses on all genres. Waves 1 and 2 are out and you can check reviews for them over on Toyark. Up until now, these sets have been for 6/7 inch scale figures, so unless you were using it as a far away backdrop in photography, it didn’t really work for G.I. Joe and 3.75 figures. The Command Station set changes that. It is designed for 3.75 scale figures and is huge, spanning 2 stories at 16 inches tall, and roughly 60 inches wide depending on how you configure it all. It gives you an instant base for your Joes or Cobras for use in photography or just out on display with your collection. This is not specific to G.I. Joe either, so you can use it with any 1/18th scale line that you think it fits with.

Great news for Acid Rain collectors! Our friend Kit Lau has shared word via the Ori Toy Facebook Page that the Sol Commander, the first trooper in the Acid Rain series, will be seeing a reissue! This time around, the Sol Commander will come in the newer style crate packaging as opposed to the original that came in a box with artwork on the front.

First released in 2014, Acid Rain Sol Commander is back!
For a limited time you can now get your hands on this amazing figure which now comes with new box packaging! A rifle gun is also included.
Sols are armed with a long barrelled automatic rifles to ensuring they can keep enemy attacks at bay from distance. This gives the lightly armored pilots time to mobilize their vehicles while ensuring that the threat of close quarter explosive devices are kept to a minimum.
It is likely that Sol Commanders are adept at piloting but would also receive additional training in battlefield tactics, schematics of their vehicles, repair/engineering skills and communication abilities.

Very similar to the Agurts Infantry figure which was released in 2014, the new and improved Sand Infantry comes equip with heavy handgun, sub machine gun and a mini gun.
Just as Agurts Infantry, Sand infantry represents the general issue foot soldier in the regions of Agurts and Zamaii. They are heavily involved in the invasion from both Omangans and Soil Ghosts and are responsible for keeping any marauding forces at bay. Although some divisions are well armed, the troops have limited armor, their true strength comes in the form of their large numbers placing trust in decisions made by their superiors.

Earlier this week, the Eagle Force Returns Facebook Page shared a pair of artwork reveals for upcoming Eagle Force: Monster Force characters. The reveals introduce us to Chatsworth, a Sasquatch and Shurukahn, the Yeti! The included verbiage is pretty awesome, check it out –
Chatsworth: I only know three things…Vampires smell weird, I’m the only Sasquatch to get a Class 3 Firearms Certification and it’s not a donut if there’s no chocolate. So talk all you want, ’cause I haven’t been listening.
Shurukahn: Hubris is the providence of men. Their time has passed, and so shall pass their memory when my kind walks the World alone.

The latest offering from The Drawn Word brings us a set of photo cards based on none other than Goldie Hawk herself! Goldie Hawk is one of the standouts in Eagle Force, and it’s high time we give her the attention she deserves! Eagle Force Strikes: Goldie Hawk photo cards will bring Goldie to life through the help of friends at DoubleTake Studio and talented actress/model Leah Martin.
Eagle Force Goldie Hawk Photo Cards Kickstarter CampaignThe Goldie Hawk pack follows Goldie’s secret solo mission from 1987. Goldie races to answer a distress beacon from an abandoned R.I.O.T. laboratory in Germany. Who and what she encounters will play out in Eagle Force Mega and Eagle Force Returns! You can get the cards in a clear team bag, or with a limited sleeve box. This is a preliminary design, using the original toy packaging art. The final will have a photo image of Leah as Goldie. You can actually get one of two prototypes (seen above) at the Sleeve Box Prototype level! Also, the Drawn Word Eagle Force level is the last chance to get the limited Lost Brigade cards in the Eagle Force Strikes! set, so get them while they last as there’s only 5 left!

Skybound and McFarlane Toys bring you the most epic action figures of the summer. Straight out of an 80’s action flashback comes Shiva Force. This exclusive four figure gift-box features Rick Grimes, Michonne, Ezekiel and Shiva (action figure debut), featuring new Shiva Force paint deco. Each 5” tall figure is also individually packaged on a vintage styled card back with new painted artwork by Jason Edmiston. The Walking Dead Shiva Force four figure gift-box is available in regular color version and a bloody variant. These gift-boxes are limited to 1000 copies each and are priced at $100.
Keep an eye out for Shiva Force’s secret fifth member, Jesus! He’s only available in The Megabox from Skybound. Fans can sign up for the summer Megabox online now.

We received a VERY exciting update from the factory a few days ago. Prototypes should be shipping from overseas to our base here in New York within the next few days. We expect to have them in hand in the coming weeks. Once we have tracking information we will have a better idea of when to expect them.
Once they are in hand we will be taking some high resolution pictures immediately to show off to our customers.

There’s a new update to share with you from the Eagle Force Returns Kickstarter Campaign! –
They’ve begun their tooling phase for the figures (images attached to story). Just a bunch of steel blocks…Fresh Monkey knows it doesn’t look very exciting but they’ll be using these steel tools for a while so it’s a thrill for all involved to see them. The tools will take about a month to finalize then we should start seeing samples toward the end of July…we’ll be sure to share images of those as soon as we get them.
Fresh Monkey Fiction & Zica Toys are also working up the design for the packaging. They were originally planning on doing boxes for the line but they’ve been toying with the idea of collector friendly card backs..like they’re Amazing Heroes line.
